The Iowa Space Grant Consortium (ISGC) Graduate Fellowship Program supports outstanding graduate students pursuing NASA-aligned research in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). The 2026–2027 fellowship supports faculty-mentored projects at Iowa State University and the University of Iowa, with research connected to NASA Mission Directorates.
The program aims to encourage qualified students to continue in space science or aerospace-related fields, strengthen research infrastructure at consortium member institutions, and retain U.S. graduates in STEM. Awards are competitive, considering academic qualifications, the research project, NASA alignment, and faculty recommendations. The ISGC director selects recipients in consultation with a consortium review committee.
