Funding Amounts: Up to $750,000 statewide; $5,950 per Fellow per year; districts may receive up to $11,900 (2 Fellows) or $23,800 (4 Fellows) depending on size.

Description
This grant program, administered by the New York State Education Department, funds local My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Community Networks to provide authentic leadership and service opportunities for rising 12th-grade high school students—especially boys and young men of color. Each participating MBK Community must partner with at least one postsecondary institution or local business/community-based organization. Selected students (Fellows) are paired with mentors, engage in a 10-month fellowship, complete a service project aligned with MBK milestones, and participate in statewide events and workgroups. The program aims to close opportunity gaps, foster college and career readiness, and build a statewide network of young leaders and mentors.
