Description
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) administers the AODA Supplemental Grant to help develop or expand comprehensive, district-wide programs for students in kindergarten through grade 12. The funding supports prevention that helps students avoid or minimize future alcohol and other drug problems, alongside early intervention for students already experiencing problems. Projects form part of a coordinated school health program.
Applicants may propose multiple strategies, including curriculum, student and adult programs, community partnerships, and program assessment. DPI prioritizes applicants that have completed an AODA needs assessment, identified an evidence-based strategy, and are ready to implement it. Geographic distribution is also considered.
