Description
This program offers discretionary subgrants to support the development, planning, and initial implementation of new high-quality public charter schools in South Carolina. The aim is to foster educational innovation, expand opportunities for all students (especially those with disabilities, English learners, or from underserved backgrounds), and strengthen charter school accountability and authorizing processes. Funded activities include professional development, curriculum development, acquisition of educational materials and equipment, community engagement, and other startup costs directly related to opening a new charter school.
