Description
This grant, administered by the New York State Education Department, funds innovative school improvement initiatives in schools under School District Superintendent Receivership for the 2026–27 academic year. The program aims to accelerate and sustain improvement in these high-need schools by supporting activities that remove barriers through superintendent authority, pilot high-leverage turnaround strategies, and strengthen systems identified in school continuation plans. Funds are intended to supplement, not replace, existing resources and must be used for new, non-duplicative activities.
