Description
The Black Belt Community Foundation (BBCF) runs an annual combined Arts and Community Grants Cycle supporting local organizations across Alabama’s Black Belt region. Arts grants support creative initiatives, while community grants support community-based organizations and nonprofits working to strengthen the communities they serve. The program emphasizes work contributing to the strength, innovation, and success of Black Belt citizens and their communities.
Funded work spans arts, cultural heritage, youth development, health and wellness, and other community initiatives. Past recipients include theatre and music organizations, quilting legacy organizations, regional festivals, libraries, community centers, and volunteer fire departments. The cycle brings creative and community-focused projects together within BBCF’s 12-county service area.
