Description
The BlackRock Applied Research Award recognizes job market papers by PhD candidates on financial markets, economics, investment management, and risk management. It focuses on quantitative research that offers practical solutions to challenges faced by investors and risk managers. The award recognizes five papers, giving applied financial research visibility and bringing researchers into conversation with judges and BlackRock subject matter experts.
BlackRock runs the award in collaboration with the India Finance Association, strengthening its connection with the Indian research community. Finalists participate in a presentation round and may also have an opportunity to present their work at the India Finance Conference.
