Description
The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) administers this travel award to advance professional development within medical physics. It supports members of Hispanic and Latin-X communities, as well as trainees actively engaged in outreach and mentorship to these communities. The award connects support for professional meeting attendance with recognition of community engagement.
One recipient receives reimbursement toward attendance at either the ASTRO or AAPM Annual Meeting. Applicants describe their Hispanic and Latin-X outreach or mentorship experience and their research, educational, or service-based motivation for attending the proposed meeting. The application also requires confirmation of active enrollment and institutional permission to attend.
