    Description

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) funds maintenance and enhancement of the Internet Crimes Against Children On-line Child Protection System (ICACCOPS). The system provides common information technology infrastructure for child exploitation and child sexual abuse material investigations, including data, network, security, authentication, and management services. It supports the national network of 61 multi-agency, multijurisdictional ICAC task forces conducting investigations, forensic examinations, and prosecutions.

The program aims to increase law enforcement’s investigative capacity as technology-facilitated exploitation and abuse evolve. Funded work includes maintaining and strengthening investigative tools addressing child sexual abuse material, exploitation, and sex trafficking, alongside training ICAC task forces and affiliates and federal, military, and tribal law enforcement. Deliverables focus on hardware, software, website, and infrastructure improvements supporting these tools and services.
