Description
The Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF), in collaboration with AstraZeneca, offers this award to advance understanding of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and develop better treatment strategies. Projects should address needs across the care continuum, have immediate potential to increase survivorship, and include correlative translational research that deepens understanding of the disease. The ultimate aim is to improve outcomes with the intention of cure.
Topics of interest include early detection and monitoring through liquid biopsies, blood-based biomarkers, or artificial intelligence; differences between rapid progressors and long-term responders; treatment resistance; predictors of immunotherapy response; and studies of patient samples that track disease progression or changes in tumors and their microenvironments.
