Description
The Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF) funds research into ALK rearrangements as drivers of lung cancer and the development of therapies for people with ALK-positive disease. The award aims to answer mechanistic questions, advance developmental therapeutics across the care continuum, and increase survivorship. Proposals should include correlative, translational research that improves understanding of ALK-driven lung cancers.
Topics include early progression and metastasis, tumor persistence, co-mutations and ALK variants, the tumor microenvironment, metabolic vulnerabilities, and therapies beyond tyrosine kinase inhibitors, such as vaccines and cell therapies. LCRF prefers projects associated with an ongoing clinical trial or one planned as a result of the research.
