Description
Funded by New York State, this program is administered by the New York Farm Viability Institute (NYFVI) in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Markets. It supports farmers, processors, distributors, and other eligible NYS Grown & Certified participants developing new food and beverage products or improving existing ones, including raw and processed foods.
Funding focuses on technical services: market research, product development, food laboratory testing, pilot runs, food safety consultation, certification training, and farm-to-institution assistance. Projects may address planning, pre-production, or product launch, with defined deliverables that move products toward commercialization or larger markets. The program aims to strengthen the resilience and financial sustainability of New York farms and food businesses. Awards are noncompetitive and first come, first served, subject to technical requirements and available funds.
