Description
The NYS HOME Local Funding Round supports local programs that expand the supply of decent, safe, and affordable housing throughout New York State. Homes and Community Renewal offers the program, administered by the Housing Trust Fund Corporation through its Office of Community Renewal (OCR), using HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds allocated annually by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The round supports homeowner rehabilitation, homebuyer down payment and closing-cost assistance, manufactured housing replacement, and tenant-based rental assistance. HOME funds may support acquisition, rehabilitation, construction, certain related soft costs, and administrative and planning costs. Funding follows the State’s Consolidated Plan and 24 CFR Part 92. This round is distinct from the Homebuyer Development Open Funding Round.
