    Description

The Foundation to Advance Vascular Cures supports early-stage, innovative research on the relationship between metabolic dysfunction and vascular disease, particularly peripheral artery disease (PAD) and chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI). Developed through the Vascular Health Innovation Summit, the program funds exploratory, multidisciplinary, translational, and implementation-focused projects that may be difficult to support through traditional funding mechanisms.

Priorities include metabolic pathways, GLP-1 receptor agonists and related therapies, biomarkers, wound healing, precision vascular medicine, and patient engagement. Projects may also address trust, health literacy, adherence, community engagement, clinical trial infrastructure, and implementation of evidence-based therapies. The goal is to generate preliminary data, partnerships, methodologies, and strategic plans that position projects for larger federal, foundation, or industry-supported funding.
