Description
The National Humanities Center’s Scholarly Writing Institute brings scholars together for focused work on their writing projects, combining daily time in a private study with expert guidance on writing and publishing. Held at the Center, the program is designed to help participants significantly advance scholarly projects while developing a supportive community for intellectual exchange.
Participants receive individual consultations and attend group sessions with writing coach Helen Betya Rubinstein, developmental editors, and acquisitions editors from respected academic presses. The interdisciplinary, cross-generational cohort provides opportunities to discuss the writing process alongside work on individual projects. Participants also learn about the Center’s Residential Fellowship and other scholarly programs.
