Description
The New England Humanities Consortium (NEHC) offers competitive seed grants for humanities initiatives that capitalize on its collaborative network. The program promotes intellectual collaboration, interdisciplinary exchange, and innovative educational, intercultural, and curricular programming across member institutions and the communities they serve. Projects that sustain or build on successful, previously funded NEHC initiatives are also welcome.
Funding interests include collaborative research, digital humanities, social justice humanities, public humanities programming, and partnerships with state humanities councils. Other examples include summer seminars; study, writing, and working groups; shared speakers; collaborative course design; exhibitions; and public performances. These examples are not exhaustive. Priority goes to proposals with concrete plans for consortium involvement, including cross-institutional collaboration and active engagement of member institutions’ faculty, staff, or students.
