The AHNS Presidential Award supports innovative research advancing the science and practice of head and neck surgery. Overseen by the American Head and Neck Society (AHNS) through the Centralized Otolaryngology Research Efforts (CORE) review process, it funds the development, evaluation, or implementation of novel surgical approaches, intraoperative technologies and methodologies, perioperative strategies, reconstructive techniques, response-adapted surgery, and multidisciplinary models of care.
Projects should address clinically important questions and demonstrate a clear path toward clinical translation, multicenter investigation, or subsequent external funding. Studies must yield useful information within the award period. Priority goes to innovative projects that could develop into longer-term or expanded research programs, and collaboration with related disciplines is encouraged.
