Description
The CARRA-Arthritis Foundation Bridge Grant supports investigators who have received a score and funding decision on an unfunded career development or investigator-initiated proposal. The bridge period allows them to address reviewer feedback, advance the proposed work, and resubmit a revised application within 12–18 months. Eligible prior submissions include K- or R-equivalent applications to the National Institutes of Health, Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, or a similar funding agency.
The grant is part of the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance’s peer-reviewed funding program. Projects must further CARRA’s mission and align with its 2026–2028 Strategic Plan and Research Agenda. Applicants must explain how their work could directly or indirectly benefit patients and advance outcomes for children with rheumatic diseases.
