The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW), based at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), supports collaborative teams addressing Wisconsin’s leading health challenges. Momentum Grants fund innovative community health interventions, new research directions, and programs and resources for Wisconsin’s current or future health workforce. Projects may also generate and disseminate research that informs policy and practice to improve health and advance health equity.
The program has Community-Led and MCW-Led funding categories, with priorities spanning public and community health, health-focused research, and health workforce education and development. AHW seeks research- and community-identified opportunities that accelerate innovation, collaboration, and impact across Wisconsin’s urban, rural, agricultural, and self-governed tribal communities. Successful projects must demonstrate impact on their identified health need during the project period.
