Description
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) Career Development Award supports junior faculty who have not secured their first major research funding. It funds basic, translational, clinical or epidemiological research with direct applicability to pancreatic cancer. PanCAN gives special consideration to understudied research areas, minority researchers and work focused on cancer health disparities. It anticipates funding five grants.
Awardees also join PanCAN’s Community for Progress. Its mentorship program connects grantees with leading scientists, while career-support activities offer education and professional development intended to help researchers remain involved in pancreatic cancer research.
