Summary: Supports dialysis vascular and peritoneal access research that generates preliminary results for future, larger research proposals.
Key Information: Applications are limited to United States applicants.
The American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN) Research Grant encourages research across the broad field of dialysis vascular access. Its ASDIN Research in Vascular Access initiative supports both young and established investigators, with the goal of generating preliminary results that can underpin future, larger research proposals.
Areas of interest include vascular biology, epidemiology and demographics, process-of-care paradigms, prevention and treatment of infections and dialysis access stenosis, device development, and identification of clinical trial endpoints. The program also welcomes work on patient safety, quality improvement, and peritoneal dialysis catheter placement, as well as other topics within hemodialysis vascular access and peritoneal dialysis access.
