Description
This funding opportunity supports the delivery of comprehensive, high-quality preventive and primary health care services to medically underserved communities and populations across the United States and its territories. Awards are made under the Health Center Program Service Area Competition (SAC), which provides grants to organizations to operate health centers in designated service areas. Each SAC Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) announces service areas available for competition, and additional areas may be announced throughout the year if a current grantee cannot continue services.
The goal is to improve access to health care for vulnerable populations by supporting organizations that can deliver a broad range of health services, including preventive, primary, and enabling services.
