The Small Business Administration’s Small Business Development Center Office (SBDCO) funds statewide and regional service networks through cooperative agreements. The SBDC Program provides individualized business advising, counseling, training, and technical assistance to existing small businesses and nascent entrepreneurs. Services address access to capital, business planning, technology commercialization, operations, financial management, marketing, exporting, and other needs supporting growth, productivity, innovation, and management improvement.
SBDCs work with SBA District Offices and other resource partners to align services with local economic development needs. Program Year 2027 priorities include onshoring and manufacturing, rural businesses, skilled labor, childcare, food supply, and rare earth elements and critical minerals. Networks must also provide required services in areas including cybersecurity, intellectual property, government contracting, employee ownership, and disaster recovery.
