    Description

Greater Hartford Gives Foundation, formerly Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, supports summer programming that gives Hartford children and people of all ages with disabilities across its 29-town region a place to go while school is out. The program aims to support working families through activities offered during the traditional workday and to provide Hartford youth with career exposure through Counselor-in-Training (CIT) programs.

Eligible activities include summer camperships, tutorial experiences, CIT programs, and enrichment opportunities that host campers from other agencies rather than their own campers. Programs should provide transportation where appropriate, including when activities take place outside the community served. Applicants should demonstrate cultural humility, and preference will be given to Black- or Latine-led organizations.
