Description
This program, administered by the School Safety and Security Committee within the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD), provides noncompetitive, formula-based grants to eligible school entities across Pennsylvania. The goal is to enhance both physical security and mental health services in schools, enabling recipients to address identified gaps and meet updated baseline safety and behavioral health criteria. Funding can be used for a broad range of activities, including security assessments, technology upgrades, violence prevention, counseling, trauma-informed education, and cybersecurity. The initiative aims to help schools meet at least Level 1 safety standards and supports the creation of safe, supportive, and resilient learning environments.
