Description
The 3-Year Tupper Postdoctoral Fellowship, administered by the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI), is designed to support outstanding early-career scientists pursuing independent research on tropical ecosystems and their inhabitants. The fellowship is open to a broad range of disciplines, including but not limited to ecology, anthropology, paleontology, evolutionary biology, conservation biology, functional genomics, microbial ecology, animal behavior, neurobiology, soil sciences, and plant physiology. Research must be based at a STRI facility in Panama, though proposals including comparative research in other tropical countries are considered. The program aims to foster collaboration with STRI scientific staff and contribute to the scientific understanding of tropical environments.
