Description
The 319 Grant Program, administered by the Hawaii Department of Health Surface Water Protection Branch (SWPB), provides funding for projects that restore impaired waters, protect high quality waters, and reduce nonpoint source pollution across Hawaiʻi. Supported by Section 319 of the federal Clean Water Act and the EPA, the program emphasizes on-the-ground watershed protection and restoration, including native species planting, invasive species removal, ungulate fencing, riparian barrier creation, and community education.
