    Description

The AABB Foundation Process Development Grant supports projects that develop, implement, validate and scale processes, tools, technologies and operational models in transfusion medicine and biotherapies. It prioritizes innovative approaches that enhance efficiency, quality, accessibility or decision support for patients and donors. The program has a practical development focus and does not fund basic research.

Supported work can address operational process improvement, product development and manufacturing, quality control and assurance, laboratory operations and safety, blood collection and processing, donor recruitment and retention, information technology and informatics, and inventory management. Previously funded projects illustrate this scope, including good manufacturing practice process development for cell therapies and digital decision-support tools for disaster preparedness and operational resilience.
