Description
The American Association of Bovine Practitioners Foundation supports research addressing clinically relevant issues in beef cattle, dairy cattle, or both. The call seeks proposals for funding in 2027, with topics including disease treatment or prevention, production medicine, and cattle welfare. Relevance to bovine practice guides the Foundation’s priorities, and private practitioners and early career professionals are encouraged to apply.
The Foundation Board ranks proposals for bovine practice relevance before sending the highest-ranking proposals to experts in the area of study for review. Projects likely to receive corporate or industry sponsorship are less likely to be prioritized. Funded investigators must share completed research through an AABP annual conference presentation and submission to a peer-reviewed journal.
