The Mudīte I. Zīlīte Saltups Fellowships are administered by the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS) and funded through a bequest in memory of Dr. Mudīte I. Zīlīte Saltups. They support focused periods of study or research in the United States in the humanities and social sciences. Proposed work may take place at a university, library, or archive, including research using materials available at the intended institution.
The program gives preference to Baltic Studies topics, but proposals need not address the Baltic region. Selection emphasizes the applicant’s scholarly potential and the quality and scholarly importance of the proposed work, with additional preference for early career scholars.
