Description
This award supports general and child and adolescent psychiatry residents in developing clinical and research expertise in substance use disorders (SUDs), with a particular emphasis on opioid use disorder (OUD). Through a mentored, year-long project, awardees focus on the adoption and dissemination of evidence-based SUD treatment research. The program aims to foster future leaders in SUD management by supporting projects that bridge educational gaps, promote integration of research into clinical practice, and build skills in dissemination science. Required activities include educational or quality improvement projects, attendance at key conferences, and regular mentorship.
