The grant encourages participation from researchers new to upper GI cancers and provides access to preclinical resources (e.g., cell lines, organoids, mouse models) to facilitate impactful discoveries. --- ## Due Dates - January 2027 (anticipated/projected full application deadline) *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - Total funding: Up to $400,000 (USD) per grant - Project duration: Up to 24 months (2 years) - Indirect costs: Maximum 10% of total grant amount - Funds may be used for salaries, research/lab supplies, equipment, publication charges, and travel to required AACR events (up to $3,000 for grantee recognition events). - No funds may be directed to government or for-profit private industry entities. --- ## Eligibility - Teams must include at least two principal investigators: one at a US-based institution and one at an Asia-based institution. - All PIs must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DO, DC, ND, DDS, DVM, ScD, DNS, PharmD, or equivalent) and not be candidates for further doctoral/professional degrees. - Applicants must be affiliated with an academic, medical, or research institution in the US or Asia. - All PIs must be Active AACR members in good standing by the application deadline.
