The AADOCR/CADR Joseph Lister Award for New Investigators is an awards competition managed by the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) and supported by Kenvue. It recognizes young investigators in the American and Canadian divisions of IADR whose original research addresses oral disease prevention or oral health promotion, with emphasis on originality and potential public health impact.
The AADOCR Fellowships Committee reviews eligible abstracts and selects eight finalists to compete through oral presentations at the AADOCR Annual Meeting & Exhibition. The competition evaluates both the research and investigators’ ability to communicate and discuss their science. Finalists present to judges in sessions open to meeting attendees, answer questions, and explain clear next steps for their research.
