Description
The AADOCR Hatton Competition recognizes junior investigators who demonstrate potential for a productive career in dental research. Run by the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research, it rewards original, well-planned, and carefully executed research through junior, senior, and post-doctoral categories. Mentors are encouraged to help entrants select suitable projects and the correct competition category.
Held at the AADOCR Annual Meeting & Exhibition, the competition combines extended abstracts, oral presentations, and question-and-answer discussions. The AADOCR Edward H. Hatton Awards Committee selects 27 finalists through blind abstract review, then identifies six winners—two per category—to receive monetary prizes and plaques and advance to the IADR Hatton Competition and Awards.
