--- ## Description This fellowship is designed to support early-career researchers in dental, oral, and craniofacial science by providing funding to enhance career development at the faculty level. The $10,000 award can be used for post-doctoral research, laboratory establishment, completion of a research project, preparing research for publication or grant submission, or attending professional meetings for research presentation and networking. The goal is to help recipients generate research data, obtain research training, and establish mentorships or collaborations, thereby advancing their academic careers and scientific contributions. --- ## Due Dates - Applications Open: July 14, 2025 - Applications Close: October 1, 2025 - Final decision: December 2025 (recipient notified thereafter) - Award announced at the AADOCR/CADR Annual Meeting & Exhibition --- ## Funding Amount - One fellowship of $10,000 is awarded annually. - Funds may be used for: - Research supplies, equipment, software - Salary support for the applicant or research personnel - Compensation for human research subjects - Travel to conferences and meetings (for data presentation, professional development, or networking) - The majority of the award should be used to support research activities. - No indirect costs (F&A) are allowed. - The award is made to the recipient’s institution if applicable. --- ## Eligibility Applicants must: - Be a member of the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) at the time of application. - Be within 10 years of their last professional degree. - Hold a DDS/DMD and/or Ph.D., or equivalent advanced degree. - Hold an appointment at the post-doctoral, instructor, assistant professor level, or equivalent at an accredited dental school or academic research center in the United States. - Show commitment to a research career and academic promise, evaluated via CV, project proposal, and a letter of support. - Individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply (see program page for full criteria).
