Description
Established in 1997 by the AADOCR National Student Research Group (NSRG), the NSRG Mentor Award provides national recognition for outstanding faculty mentors. It honors faculty members who support student research, motivate and teach students, and contribute to their local Student Research Group (SRG). Rather than funding a defined research project, the award recognizes a mentor’s influence on students and their involvement in research.
Nominations describe the mentor’s impact through concrete examples, alongside background on their teaching career and current ongoing projects. The recipient receives an award plaque and serves as guest speaker at the annual SRG Faculty Advisors’/SRG Presidents’ event during the AADOCR Annual Meeting.
