Description
The Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AAMDSIF) funds new investigators studying bone marrow failure disorders in pediatric and adult populations. The 2026 program supports projects focused on aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes or neoplasms (MDS), or paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), with one award reserved for aplastic anemia research.
The program accepts basic, translational, pre-clinical, early-stage clinical, and health services or epidemiological research. AAMDSIF seeks work with promising clinical impact, including studies of disease mechanisms, treatment, and patient outcomes. Its Medical Advisory Board reviews proposals for scientific merit and relevance to the foundation’s goals.
