--- ## Description This award honors investigators who have made significant contributions to the field of autonomic disorders through highly innovative research, impactful publications, or the development of new diagnostic or therapeutic approaches. The recognition is intended for individuals whose work has shaped the understanding, diagnosis, or treatment of autonomic disorders and had a transformative impact on the field. --- ## Due Dates - October 2026 (application deadline, anticipated/projected) *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - $1,000 cash prize - Certificate of recognition - Complimentary registration for the AAN Annual Meeting - Award is given once per cycle; no multi-year funding --- ## Eligibility - Research must be in the field of autonomic disorders. - Applicants do **not** need to be members of the American Academy of Neurology. - Industry employees are **not eligible**. - Both self-applications and nominations are accepted. --- ## Application Process Applicants (or nominators) must submit: - Completed application form (available via the AAN website) - Current curriculum vitae (CV) - Letter from the applicant summarizing: - Focus of their research program - Independent contributions in autonomic disorders - Rationale for receiving the award - Letter from a colleague summarizing: - Applicant's body of work and relevant background - Research accomplishments in context - Assessment of the impact on the understanding of autonomic disorders **Nominations:** Nominators should complete the application form and select the nomination option.
