Description
Funded by UCB in collaboration with the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), this scholarship supports early-career investigators pursuing rigorous clinical and translational research in autoimmune neurology, specifically MOGAD. It aims to develop investigators interested in academic neurological research through an original research project, structured training, and strong mentorship.
Supported work includes patient-oriented research with human subjects and translational research designed to develop treatments or improve diagnosis. Eligible approaches include epidemiologic and behavioral studies, clinical trials, disease-mechanism investigations, new technologies, and health services and outcomes research. Disease-related studies without human subjects or human tissue are also encouraged when their primary goal is developing therapies, diagnostic tests, or tools to prevent or mitigate neurological disease.
