This opportunity, sponsored by the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Science Council and administered by the Research Committee, is designed to support up to two early-career, research-oriented AAPM members. Awardees will participate as members of the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research’s Council of Early Career Investigators in Imaging (CECI2) for the 2026–2027 cycle. The program includes a series of virtual meetings, webinars, and workshops focused on advocacy, NIH funding, grant writing, and career development, as well as sponsored in-person participation at the Medical Imaging Technology Showcase (MedTech) and related congressional and NIH events in Washington, DC. The experience provides unique opportunities for professional growth and networking within the imaging research community.
