Description
The AAS Northeast Asia Council (NEAC) Distinguished Speakers Bureau enables U.S. colleges and universities (for Japanese studies) and U.S. or Canadian colleges and universities (for Korean studies)—especially those without well-established East Asia programs—to host leading scholars for public lectures and campus engagement. The program aims to foster greater understanding of Northeast Asia by facilitating direct scholarly interaction, offering public lectures, classroom visits, and Q&A sessions with students and faculty. Both virtual and in-person events are supported, with a focus on institutions that have limited resources in East Asian studies.
