Description
The American Astronomical Society (AAS) Honors, Awards, and Prizes program annually celebrates outstanding achievements in the astronomical sciences. The program encompasses a broad range of distinctions—including prizes, medals, and the election of new AAS Fellows—recognizing excellence in research, instrumentation, education, outreach, writing, and service to astronomy. Nominations are solicited from the community and may include self-nominations. Each honor has its own criteria, with some awards specifically targeting early-career scientists, educators, or amateur astronomers.
