Introduced for 2026, the Caregiver Travel Grant is administered by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology’s Conference Planning Committee to make its Annual Conference more accessible. It supports members who need a caregiver to accompany them because of disability, chronic illness, health needs, or other support requirements. Traveling with a caregiver can substantially increase conference attendance costs, and the grant helps offset those additional expenses so members can participate fully.
Funding supports caregiver transportation, lodging, and other travel-related costs necessary to accompany the attendee. The program’s purpose is to remove barriers to attendance, not to compare or rank applicants’ support needs. Applications are reviewed for whether they meet the requirements, and recipients’ names remain confidential.
