Description
AbbVie’s Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) program supports research conceived and conducted by academic and community-based physicians and researchers worldwide. Its goal is to advance medical and scientific knowledge involving AbbVie products and therapeutic areas of interest, expand understanding of potential applications, and generate evidence that can inform patient care and further disease-related research.
The 2026 strategic priorities cover aesthetics, eye care, immunology, neuroscience, oncology, and specialty care. Interests include clinical and real-world evidence, preclinical and translational research, disease mechanisms and burden, treatment effectiveness and safety, biomarkers, patient outcomes, and models of care. Priorities and exclusions differ substantially by product; investigators should check the relevant therapeutic-area guidance before preparing a proposal.
