Description
Mayo Clinic’s Abdominal Radiology Fellowship in Rochester, Minnesota, provides subspecialty training focused on diseases of the gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems. Fellows work closely with expert radiologists to develop imaging, intervention, and consultation skills beyond those acquired during residency. The program prepares trainees for academic or private radiology practice through hands-on patient care and collaboration with medical, surgical, and pathology colleagues.
Training includes MRI, CT, ultrasound, image-guided biopsies, and abscess drainage. Advanced techniques include photon counting and dual energy CT, low radiation dose imaging, MR elastography, post-processing, and 3-D imaging. Clinical and basic research opportunities draw on Mayo Clinic’s clinical, educational, and research resources, with an expectation of academic productivity during the fellowship.
