Description
Co-sponsored by the American Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Foundation (AAOGF) and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), this scholarship develops future academic physician leaders through advanced scientific training. Administered by the AAOGF Scholar Committee, it supports research training in an academic Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the United States or Canada.
Research may address any field of the specialty, including basic and translational research, disease pathogenesis, clinical diagnostics, interventions and prevention, epidemiology, and health services research. The program combines an original research project, structured scientific training, and faculty mentorship to build an investigative academic career. Interdisciplinary collaboration is encouraged. Candidates should demonstrate talent, original thought, and dedication to academic work, with preparation and submission of an extramural grant application expected as a training outcome.
