Description
The Academic Clinical Trials Program (ACT) from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (now Blood Cancer United) funds investigator-initiated Phase 1 or 2 clinical trials focused on blood cancers and related premalignant conditions. The program is designed to address critical unmet medical needs by supporting trials that test new treatments, expand the use of existing therapies, and optimize innovative approaches in patient care. Emphasis is placed on projects that incorporate precision medicine, novel immunotherapies, tumor microenvironment targeting, prevention strategies, advanced personalized medicine, and patient-centered trial design. Proposals using new trial designs, decentralized methods, or emerging technologies (including AI) are encouraged. A robust patient involvement plan is required at all stages.
