    Description

The Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame supports academic conferences and workshops related to its core research theme of global democracy. The program encourages collective research in international studies, promotes research excellence, and seeks to shape the research agenda on issues critical to global democracy.

Conferences should address Kellogg priorities and offer distinctive, timely contributions to their fields. Smaller, informal workshops may explore research questions at an early stage or bring scholars and experts together to critique a faculty member’s manuscript. Anticipated scholarly products may include an article, a series of articles, or a book. Events ordinarily involve other Notre Dame units or external cosponsors and may take place away from the University. Logistical support may be available for events scheduled well in advance.
