Description
The Academic Excellence Award, administered by the AATS Foundation, honors exceptional scientific presentations delivered at the annual meetings of major affiliate organizations in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. The award is intended to formally recognize academic or scientific excellence in either abstract or poster presentations, with recipients selected by a review committee at the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery (EACTS), European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS), and Asian Society of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (ASCVTS) meetings. The award is presented onsite during the respective affiliate organization's annual meeting.
