Description
The Towns Grant, administered by the Kansas Department of Commerce, is designed to help rural Kansas communities with a population of 5,000 or less implement small-scale, tangible projects that enhance quality of life and community vibrancy. The program encourages local collaboration, investment, and volunteer engagement by providing funding for visible improvements such as downtown beautification, signage, public art, parks, and minor infrastructure. The grant aims to reach communities that have not received Commerce funding since 2019, expanding access to state resources and fostering new applicants.
