Description
The ACCEL-KS Kansas SBIR/STTR Matching Program, administered by the Kansas Department of Commerce, provides early-stage funding and technical support to help Kansas businesses, innovators, entrepreneurs, and researchers compete for and leverage federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) awards.
The program offers two tracks: Phase 0 supports proposal development for federal Phase I submissions, while Phase I provides state matching funds to businesses that have received a federal Phase I grant. Its goals are to increase the number, quality, and success rate of Kansas SBIR/STTR proposals, accelerate commercialization of innovative technologies, and strengthen Kansas’s position in the national innovation economy.
